The existing LGC Standards website had fallen way behind the times and no longer reflected the global leader in a positive light because of frustrating user experiences and the lack of responsive behaviours across mobile devices. A confusing UI and mixed information architecture needed to be overhauled for them to become the global market leaders online.

Due to LGC spanning such a complex range of sectors and product types (all of which are purchased and configured in different ways), a large multidisciplinary team from business analysts, UX specialists, marketing teams through to technical and sales worked together in an agile process with the relevant skills and knowledge being pulled in at key points.
Designs were produced across three breakpoints in sprints which tackled individual stages along the user journey in order to ease and improve the customer experience. Liaising with all members of the internal and external teams the design phase was where most issues were raised and solved for this unique industry. Requirements to conform to AA accessibility standards and to ensure quality solutions result in LGC becoming industry leaders was the focus of the entire team.
